The most famous white wines of Portugal are produced in the northern part of the country, in the cool climate of the Vinho Verde region. Come and explore the lush vegetation of this territory, along with the culture and tradition of making these amazing wines full of minerality and freshness.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

• MEETING POINT: Porto
• Your host is waiting for you at the Airport or pick you up at another point, by agreement
• Transfer to the 4* hotel in the Douro Valley
• Free & relax time
• Optional: transfer to a leading sparkling wine producer in the Douro
• Winery visit with a tasting of sparkling wines
• Transfer back to the hotel
• Relax & free time

DAY 2

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Cruise on the Douro River to a wine estate
• Guided visit to the vineyard and the cellar
• Followed by lunch with a tasting of 5 wines
• Relax on the terrace with a view of Douro Valley
• Boat trip back on the river
• Pinhão sightseeing
• Transfer to the famous Casa de Mateus
• Full castle guided tour & garden visit with a tasting of 3 rosé wines
• On the way back to the hotel, stop at the most beautiful viewpoint of the Douro Valley
• Transfer back to the hotel
• Relax & free time

DAY 3

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Transfer to a winery at Ervedosa do Douro
• Guided visit to the winery and the vineyard
• Tasting of Douro and Port wines
• Lunch on the terrace of the winery with a view of the Douro River
• Transfer to a cooperative winery that is famous for its Douro Moscatel wines
• Cellar visit and tasting of 4 wines
• Transfer back to the hotel
• Relax & free time

DAY 4

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Transfer to a unique, organic winery of Vinho Verde, located at the Douro River
• Guided wine tour with a tasting
• The visit includes a stroll through the vineyards to see the main points of interest of the estate. After this, you can enjoy a tasting of 6 premium wines accompanied by a tapas board
• Transfer to Amarante, one of the most beautiful, charming, and romantic towns in Europe
• Sightseeing, free time & lunch
• Transfer to a leading Vinho Verde winery
• Visit their unique garden and cellar, with premium wine tasting
• Transfer back to the hotel

DAY 5

• Breakfast in the hotel
• Transfer to the departure point in Porto
